01 β The Problem
When The Weather Turns, Ordinary Pegs Can Let You Down.
There is nothing worse than the 2 AM scramble in the freezing wind because a cheap, flimsy peg pulled loose. Standard smooth pegs bend on rocks, slide out of sand, and leave your expensive gear vulnerable to the elements. You need an anchor that bites into the earth and refuses to let go.
02 β Mechanism
Stand through the storm.
More depth. More grip. More confidence.
Short pegs can struggle when they're relying on a shallow layer of loose or sandy ground.
The Coastal Nomad 500 mm Galvanized Anchor Peg goes significantly deeper into the ground, giving your guy ropes, awnings and tent lines a longer anchor point to work with.
Its ribbed shaft helps create additional contact with the surrounding ground, while the pointed tip makes driving the peg into suitable soil easier.
And the reinforced looped head gives you a secure attachment point for your guy ropes and tie-downs.
03 β Solution
Unbreakable Strength
Forget about bending pegs with your mallet. Forged from thick, heavy-duty ribbed steel, the Nomad drives straight through tough, rocky ground without warping or snapping under pressure.
04 β Protection
Ultimate Holding Power.
Whether you're camped in the loose sands of the West Coast or the hard dirt of the Karoo, the deep-ribbed design grips the earth like a vice. When the wind howls, your tent stays exactly where you put it.

FAQ
Will these work in loose beach sand?
Absolutely. The ribbed steel texture provides significantly more friction and surface area than smooth pegs, giving them a superior grip in loose, sandy coastal conditions.
Are they difficult to pull out of hard ground?
Not at all. The welded eyelet at the top isn't just for ropes. When packing up, simply slide another peg, a hammer claw, or a screwdriver through the eyelet and pull upwardsβit gives you all the leverage you need to pop it right out.
Will they rust if I camp near the sea?
The Nomad Tent Peg is built from rugged materials and galvanized designed to withstand the outdoors. However, to ensure they last a lifetime, we highly recommend wiping them down and storing them dry after heavy coastal use.
How heavy are they?
They are heavier than standard aluminum pegs because they are built from solid steel. This weight is exactly what gives them their unbreakable strength and holding power. They are designed for extreme reliability for car campers, 4x4 setups, and overlanders, not ultra-light backpacking.
